Description: Jonny Bubble’s is back! He’s shrugged off the pain caused by the comment section and is teaching us how to put some flight back into the Women’s Jordan 5 ‘Bluebird’ using the RESHOEVN8R Essential Kit and some Mink Oil. After removing the laces and inserting the adjustable shoe tree, Bubbles gave the suede uppers a quick pass using only the soft bristle brush. This technique removes excess dirt and will help prevent your bowl of water & solution from getting murky too quickly. *Pro tip: be sure to clean the brush (or use a new one) before using it to apply water and solution to your shoe.* With a new brush in hand, Jonny added two squirts of solution to his bowl of water and got to work on the uppers! It’s extremely important to coat the shoe evenly. Over-saturating suede in one area can lead to discoloration and or color bleeding! After removing the surface-level dirt using the soft bristle brush, JB noticed some deeper stains on the stitching, toe cap, and heel that needed some attention from the medium bristle brush. When attempting to use the medium bristle brush on suede, it’s important to be gentle! Too much pressure or scrubbing on suede can permanently damage the material. After hitting the midsoles with the same medium bristle brush, Bubbles hit the outer soles with the stiff bristle. Once the ‘Bluebird’ was dry, all that was left to do was to give a little extra love to the suede. Using the brass bristle brush, Jonny reset the nap, giving that baby blue color its buttery texture feel. While there was a bit of color fading, it was nothing a little Mink Oil couldn’t solve!
