Description: How to Build a Scrap Wood Raised Planter Box or Garden Bed with Legs. Suffering from a bad back can be a painful experience when working out in the garden which is why having a raised planter box or garden bed is such a great idea! Making the planter box mobile is also an added advantage as you can move it around to escape the scorching sun or howling wind. Building the planter box out of the right materials is also an important factor to consider. I’m using reclaimed hardwood fence palings for this raised garden bed which has a couple of benefits. It’s durable so it’s suitable for outside use, it’s food safe and because it has been salvaged…..it won’t cost you a single cent! Scrap wood projects like this planter box are also beneficial in that you are using materials that would otherwise have been thrown out or burnt so it’s a good feeling to know that you are also doing your little bit to save the planet.
