Description: This Boeing 747 of Air Atlanta performed a pretty hard landing on runway 03 at Maastricht a few weeks ago. You can even see the flaps shaking after touchdown. The shown aircraft is TF-AAJ, a 19 year old B747 which was delivered to Air France in 2003. After flying for the french airline for 12 years Air Atlanta bought the aircraft and operated charter flights for several other airlines. Here it can be seen operateing a cargo charter flight for Longtail Aviation from New York to Maastricht. I also included lots of other planes I filmed at Maastricht and Geilenkirchen (20km south of Maastricht) within the past weeks. The Mesk Air B747 is a pretty rare aircraft. The airline operates a single B747 and sometimes it shows up at Maastricht after operating a cargo charter flight from Hongkong via India to MST. Another highlight was the Geo Sky Boeing 747-200 classic which now operates between Asia and Maastricht on a regular basis. They show up three times a week and it`s definitly one of the biggest highlights at european airports right now. Only eight B747-200`s are still flying worldwide and two of the visit an airport near my home frequently.
