Description: In previous episodes of this series, video gamer, Twitch streamer, and YouTuber Jesse Halteman, aka JesseKazam, has joined Brownells Gun Tech™ Caleb Savant to analyze the depiction of firearms in the video game "Escape from Tarkov." Jesse has "built" many guns in the game with the help of Mechanic, a trader in Tarkov who deals in guns, ammo, and weapon modifications and is.... well, a gunsmith. Today, Caleb fills the role of Mechanic (glasses, plaid shirt and gunsmith's apron included) and helps Jesse build his own REAL LIFE AR-15. Jesse is in the unusual position of knowing the parts of an AR-15 and how the gun goes together, but he has never actually physically assembled one. Starting with the AR-15's "brain," the lower receiver, they install the magazine release, bolt release, pivot / takedown pins, triggerguard, CMC drop-in trigger module, Magpul MOE® pistol grip, buffer tube, recoil buffer and spring, and a Magpul MOE® stock. The upper assembly is built on a Vltor MUR-1 stripped upper receiver, actually a popular, high-scoring weapon component in the game. The guys install the barrel, handguard, flash hider, charging handle (ambi, of course), and bolt-carrier group. After the two halves of Jesse's new AR-15 go together, they add a Vortex AMG UH-1 holographic sight, flip-up backup sights, and.... what else? Hint: a laser is involved! Then they hit the range to put Jesse's Blaster through its paces with a lot of ammo and a Magpul PMAG D-60. How did they do?
