Description: Today we did a huge work. 9 big and 1 small Northmen dug by hand (with shovels) 42 meters long, 1.6 meters deep and 50cm wide trench (34m3) for new workshop building foundations, then we filled the ground with the rocks/boulders we got from destroying old masoned wall and we mixed the boulders with sand and water - traditional foundation making technique without a gram of cement or concrete. Next will be masons work using lime mortar to mason the top ground part of the foundations using hand splitted boulders/rocks. Thanks to all of the team and many thanks to chef Ēriks Dreibants for making super delicious food on open fire - that was a super dose of calories for human energy. We did it all in 8 hours. The power of teamwork! Work hard, stay humble. The Future belongs to the few of us still willing to get our hands dirty!
