Description: Just a quick demo of the instrument. I think the bells just have way too many harmonics to be able to be played like a normal instrument; it's just way too shrill. But just as a demo I went all out and tried to play a song that used a lot of bells. The latter part of the video shows a neat, accidental property of the instrument. Not only can you shift the carriage left or right to play either flat or sharp by a semitone, but you can completely flip the carriage around. This puts the bells going chromatically high to low instead of chromatically low to high. Not sure what the music theory ramifications/remapping behind this new orientation is, but at the very least it gives you different sounds for familiar inputs. ► Enable closed captions for commentary ► GIF image gallery of the build here: imgur.com/a/oABeA ► SUBSCRIBE : youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=measuredworkshop ► INSTAGRAM: instagram.com/measuredworkshop
