This whole album is one of my favorite albums ever! I actually found FFDP back in 2007 and did not really like them... The drummer for my high school band showed me Motograter in 2010 or so, and I LOVED them—especially Ivan Moody's voice. A few months later, I found out he sang for another band called, "Five Finger Death Punch," checked out the song, "Way Of The Fist," and I thought it was soooo good, so I bought the album. As I was listening to it, I was like, "I think I've heard this before...?" And then, I realized it was the same band I did not really like three years before! Funny how your tastes can change like that :P Either way, I love this album, and Ivan Moody is actually one of my biggest vocal inspirations. I really wished I could sound like him, hated my voice, and did everything in my power to mimic Ivan's screaming and clean tones, which actually taught me some of the techniques I use today! For anyone wondering, the screaming technique I am using in this video is a false cord/fry hybrid. It is complicated, and if you are just learning how to scream, you should not start there. I can do normal false cord and fry screams as well, but I do not use them as often because I just like the hybrid tone more.
