Description: A Swift Water Rescue unit towing a boat featured along with other emergency vehicles during Storm Eunice. See the fire trucks, heavy rescue tender, police cars and ambulances responding with siren and lights in Gloucestershire as extreme weather batters the UK. Storm Eunice hit the United Kingdom on Friday, February the 18th, a few days after Storm Dudley. A red weather warning for high winds was issued for South Wales and the South West, and later London and the South East. Winds of up to 122 miles per hour (mph) were recorded in some parts of the country. Gloucestershire were set to experience winds of around 60mph, half of that experienced on the Isle of Wight, as power lines and trees were brought down. Emergency services were busy responding to a number of incidents as several properties were damaged and unfortunately there were a number of fatalities as a result. Storm Eunice brought heavy rain into Saturday morning before then clearing up with blue skies and sunshine before Storm Franklin hit on Sunday.
