Description: Jeff and I were laying in bed watching TV and it was time to go to sleep. Einstein flew over to the dresser. He tried every trick in the book to delay going to bed. He wanted to go to the kitchen and begged us to come to see him. This meant he wanted us to take him to the kitchen. He acted just like a child asking for a drink of water and other demands before bed. We did give in and allowed him 5 minutes of kitchen time and then we all went to sleep. We do cover his cage at night and the blanket on the dresser was to protect it from his beak. (Apologies for the video quality. The lights were dim in the room.) 🐦 Einstein Parrot is a very talkative African Grey Parrot! He lives with us in our home in Texas and was hatched on June 15, 1997. Einstein is a silly, smart, and popular parrot who loves to talk and entertain! He is famous for his impression of Matthew McConaughey, (youtu.be/WecS9-3ISkk) NOT the "Einstein" that was featured on the TV show Animal Planet. He likes to talk on various "parrot approved areas" in our home, such as the kitchen drawer, the shower, kitchen chairs, napkin holders, and of course his play perches! Einstein has brought much joy to our lives, but training and living with a parrot requires time, patience, and sacrifice.
