All it means is that you should sip your water instead of chugging your water. How many of us are guilty of grabbing a bottle and gulping it down quickly whenever we feel thirsty? 🤭 But just like how the quality of work you perform suffers when you do it in a rush, the work of your digestion suffers when you eat or drink in a rush too. 😧 So use a glass, grab a seat and drink your water sip by sip. Allow it to stay in the mouth by swishing it around for 2-3 seconds before swallowing it. What happens when you do this? It helps the alkaline saliva in your mouth to reach the stomach to neutralise acid levels inside. Chugging water directly through a bottle causes water to run down the throat, missing out on carrying saliva to the stomach.
