The laser has immense damage falloff past like 20-ish meters and the upwards recoil it causes means you can't really keep it on a faraway target anyway. Although I'm sure the fact it's a primary with a emergency special ammo-tier damage in pvp will make it an interesting all-rounded short range primary, in the hands of someone more skilled. Also yes, I know about the infinite beam cheese, but I only found out about it like 90% into the video and it was a bit too late to restart the video just for it.
