About all of the titans! Starting with the desert titan! Let’s start with taming! So how do you tame you a dragon punk leviathan?! Well to begin your journey you’ll have to start with the stupidly conspicuous cave in the desert biome. You literally can not miss this thing, I remember when the caves used to be all hidden but not anymore with extinction. So you’re gonna need to complete this cave run, which shouldn’t actually be too difficult, especially with a few good velonasaurs at your disposal, check out that video if you haven’t already seen it yet. The cave is pretty small and pretty simple to navigate. Conveniently, the artifact you need to spawn the desert titan is right next to the summoning terminal. You can also scoop up another explorer note in this corner while you’re at it too! Very nice. To summon the desert titan you’ll need the artifact, 100 corrupt hearts, 10 fire talons, and 10 sarco skins! Once you got the goods go ahead and summon the desert titan! *Use argies or quetz *Need to hit it with it’s own lightning *Wings first then back *Attack damage matters *Use better saddles *Avoid doing damage to it as best as you can *Note depending on how much damage you do to it, this will determine how much hp it has on final tame Alpha: 550,000 HP Beta: 280,000 HP Gamma: 280,000 HP So you’ve done it! You’ve tamed one of ark’s most powerful creatures EVER! Now what? Well you don’t need a salad because you get that automatically! Nice~ So what can it do? Well the desert titan has three attacks, a left click bite which can also be used as a tailwhip to knock enemies off your back, a right click lighting summoning attack, very cool, and if you press space, you can summon… the flock… pressing C will allow you to target the flock with left and right mouse buttons to direct the left and right flocks respectively. Now for the fun part, what kind of carnage can this thing unleash onto the poor wimpy bois who are busy transferring all their dinos and clearing out of the server right about now? Well we went ahead and tested this things raid capabilities on our server, which you can join! Link in the description and comments! Starting with the bite attack, this does a colossal 4,650 damage per bite and it has a gigantic AOE instantly clearing dozens of enemies! Then we’ve got the lightning strike which was recently nerfed. This attack is really really slow and easily avoidable, but could be useful for mass murder of enemy dinos or for dealing some decent damage to slow moving targets. You can hold right mouse button to select a point for your lightning strike, or you can paint a target by just holding right mouse button and hovering your selector over them till you see the sort of an aura of lighting around them, your lightning strike will now track your moving target, till it stops tracking them and they just move out of the way. If your lightning hits, it’ll do an okay amount of damage of 500 hit points... A lightning strike will also leave behind a radius of electrified earth which deals low damage rapidly to moving targets, which can be countered by simply not moving. Otherwise the sizzle effect can do some pretty solid damage if your target is stupid enough to not move out of the way. This doesn’t damage structures, and by the way it takes 8 seconds for a lightning charge, to charge. You can have a total of six lightning strikes at a time. The flock… probably one of the most useful tools in your kit. You can summon it then just sit back and enjoy watching the death messages. These guys shred through everything! They do a very nice 1,162 damage per hit and you have two of them. If you want to deal rapid damage to a target and really focus them, just hit c and target your enemy with both flocks. Now they can be killed, but they can also be respawned after a fairly short time by pressing space again. Otherwise you could totally just sit outside of someone’s base in safety and let the flock wreak havoc on the dummies below. Finally we have the titans most dangerous attack of all! It’s tail whip! Just kidding, it’s terrible and the devs need to fix it immediately! Like who seriously tested this and said, “yep it just phases through your enemy even though it CLEARLY is hitting them! Ship it!” ah, wildcard, of course. Now this attack is SUPPOSED to knock baddies off your back, it’s completely unreliable and doesn’t work 90% of the time. Interestingly enough the tail will hit you if you’re NOT on the platform but on the titans bareback. -
