Description: Enjoy an extended deep relax-ocean meditation featuring a mesmerizing cloud of fish hanging around the edges of Monterey Canyon. Anchovies (Engraulis mordax) play an important role as a food source for the larger animals that make a home in Monterey Bay—including some nearby Bocaccio rockfish (Sebastes paucispinis) who take advantage of the swirling feast. This hypnotic deep-sea scene was captured on camera by the ROV Doc Ricketts at 153 meters (500 feet) deep.
