All is well, until the children scream and the lights burn out. Haydin and his mother attempt to switch the lights back on, when a mysterious figure appears before them. Haydin realizes that these figures are not human, but indeed, the living dead. After a tragic incident that happens before his eyes; Haydin's birthday goes down hill from there. He ends up meeting Kyle, who is 15 years old, and they ranch out in an empty cabin found in the woods. Kyle notices that there are "Rotters" surrounding the cabin, so the both of them attempt an escape. After hearing someone shout for help, Kyle sets out to help this man after Haydin refuses to tag along. After another incident, Haydin was succesful in the escape, and he sets out to find a safe haven. And that was his wish; A safe haven. No one knows where the rotters came from, no knows how the infection spread.
