We have been sitting vigil with her in the hospital and now in hospice for the past 11 days after she fell and broke her hip *(Update: Jesus took our grandma to heaven on the morning of March 19, with our mom and the two of us holding her hands and singing to her).* We have been incredibly close to our grandma our entire lives – seeing her or speaking over the phone almost every single day of our lives. To us, this song is about love that transcends this earth and our bodies, and the hope and knowledge that we will someday, in some way, be reunited with the people we love once again. The lyrics “I’ll be here in sunshine and in shadow” especially speak to our hearts. True love is being with the people you love through not only the good times, but the times of shadow and sorrow. We hope that our newest music release will bring you peace, hope, and light. We love you all! This video was filmed by our mom on our phone.
