Description: This Daily Driven 2006 Porsche 996 is owned by Mike Musto, from the show Big Muscle that features muscle car builds/stories/drives on Youtube. Mike also happens to be one of my closest friends in the world and I promised him IF he ever added a Porsche (aka non-muscle car) to his collection, I would give it a full detail. This is the story of me fulfilling my promise and discovering the burned paint disaster during our pre-detail, used car inspection, and subsequent deep cleaning. What I learned about paint restoration and "framing" will change the way I detail cars in the future. I was lucky enough to detail the Porsche 996 with my 2 closest car detailing buddies, Kevin Brown and Derek Bemiss. For those of you who have watched AMMO since 2011 on the Drive Channel and on AMMO NYC channel since 2012, you will know that there wasn't much car detailing content anywhere...no less YouTube. Today, there is so many car detailing channels that is can become overwhelming. Kevin and Derek (and Jason Rose) are the original detailers...before detailing was made a "thing" on YouTube. Ironically, the best or "most informational" content tends to be the least viewed or "watched". This is one of the videos that doesn't have the most disgusting car ever, moldy car interior, power washing mud, etc etc...but it does have tips and tricks that will change the way you think and approach your car or your car detailing business. In a day and age of "YouTube is King", I think those (Kevin, Derek, and Jason) who impart the most knowledge to the next generation, should be the ones treated as royalty.
