Description: Congrats! You've signed up for your first training class. In order to have the best-possible learning experience, you want to make sure you show up for class with the right gear. Aside from what your instructor specifies, Jeff recommends: a RANGE BAG or a backpack to hold all your gear. HEARING PROTECTION in the form of muffs or ear plugs. The sound of gunfire can be pretty startling to new shooters, so hearing protection also reduces stress and helps you avoid flinching. EYE PROTECTION in the form of shooting glasses. Prescription glasses probably aren’t enough. A bullet fragment can sometimes fly back from the target, so your shooting glasses should have polycarbonate lenses rated to withstand high impact. Clear lenses are best for indoors; tinted lenses help reduce glare outdoors. NOTEBOOK and pen to record things you want to remember from the class. Your GUN (of course!) and MAGAZINES. Try to get familiar with the gun's operation before the class by reading the owner's manual. HOLSTER, magazine pouches, and a sturdy belt strong enough to hold them. A magazine LOADER makes refilling mags fast and easy on your fingers. A simple FIRST AID "boo-boo" kit to take care of small cuts and scrapes. Field CLEANING KIT to keep your gun running reliably. COMFORT ITEMS like snacks and water to help keep you comfortable and maintain your energy level.
