Radical sites are telling the people are mostly moving by the foot or riding a bicycle in the cities. Its not true, and its not safe. I burned some fuel today to check this out, as you may see the people are mostly using the cars in the center of the city, because its safest. There are of course pedestrians (because most of people have legs), and noticeable - but still minimal - number of cyclists. Using the private car at now is safest way for moving, you're keeping safe social distance, you can transport the family and some shopping and you're not vulnerable to the weather. Scooters or motorcycles are also good - you're wearing the helmet, weather resistant clothes and no mask need to distrub your breathing. Is bicycle bad? Still better than public transport, but it require intensive breathing what is annoying in the mask with filters, and you're still moving in the same area as others. In the new reality cities will require more parking loots, wider roads and people should be encouraged to use the private cars. Cities will not stretch - it obvious - so the "logistic need" as itself need to be re-evaluated. Pandemia showed us not so much people are really need to work from the office (mostly located in the center of the city, what is also a story for different discussion) - they simply may work from home. And a word about air pollution. All reports which has been made before pandemia should be re-evaluated, because at now both PM and NOx in the air are on the mostly same level as before. Car traffic as you can easily notice is much smaller than it was, but air pollution is the same.
