Description: I was asked by Chris Hawkins to make two thirty minute mixes exploring the theme of nature and well being for BBC Radio 6 Music. This is the first of the two. It is a sonic exploration of oceans. bbc.co.uk/programmes/m000sbnl We listen to humpback whales singing, sperm whales clicking, weddell seals and bearded seals courting, coral reefs spluttering, bucktoothed parrot fish crunching, shrimp snapping, long horned sculpins honking, blue whales lamenting and haddock drumming. All of the music is composed entirely out of recordings of these animals and the sound worlds that they inhabit.
