Description: This conservation of mechanical energy physics video goes over a comparison of the potential and kinetic energy of an object as it moves along two different paths. In the first case we investigate a ball rolling down a ramp. The second case looks at the example of a roller coaster car as it moves along the coaster track. In both cases there is a continuous conversion of potential energy into kinetic energy and then back again. Because there are no nonconservative forces such as friction the total mechanical energy of the object always remains the same Social Media for Step by Step Science: Teacher Pay Teachers Store: tinyurl.com/y6d2cdfj Instagram: instagram.com/stepbystepscience101 Website: stepbystepscience.com Blog: stepbystepscience.com/blog Link Tree: linktr.ee/stepbystepscience Link for sharing this video: youtu.be/Y_Aea9mDIUs Support my channel by doing all of the following: (1) Subscribe to get all my excellent physics, chemistry and math videos.
