Description: It turns out a very long and slow cut, going over the same gouge back and forth over and over again wears down the disk 10x less than a fast cutting across cut. But it takes 3x longer to make the cut. Fireball tools' video: "This Trick makes your Grinding discs last longer." youtu.be/hid9bDnSeok I suspect the reason it makes such a big difference is cutting through the metal subjects the disk to a small area with a lot of force, and a sharp edge too, whereas the shallow gouging back and forth doesn't expose the disk to any harsh edges or point forces. I accidentally uploaded my low res test render AGAIN, so this is a re-upload 20 minutes after the initial one.
