Description: This time I will start with AutoCAD to create the geometric primitives, then to CAMBAM to apply machining operations on the geometric primitives and finally cutting out the parts. In this first part, I will be designing a vertical part holder. A holder for parts like lead screws, rails, rods, and small steel or aluminum profiles. I upload to Instagram very frequently and add great informative content as well as customer test videos. Make sure to follow me on Instagram at: instagram.com/buildyourcnc_newbiehack You can get the AutoCAD software from Autodesk. CAMBAM Software: buildyourcnc.com/item/CAM-SOFTWARE-cambam I use this CAM software for my purposes. I personally like the simple user interface and I am able to understand the parameters from years of experience, so I don't need CAM software that explains what the parameters mean. Mach3 CNC Control Software: buildyourcnc.com/item/control-SOFTWARE-mach3 This is the software I use with my CNC router. The greenBullv2 60 degree 4'x8' CNC Router: buildyourcnc.com/item/cnc-machine-greenbullv2-milling-laser This is CNC router that I use in my shop and is my favorite as it can also house a laser gantry and it is a great space saver. It takes up the same amount of space as a typical 4'x8' machine, but it is intended to be pushed up against a wall so only one side of the machine needs to be accessed. All of these machines and software can be purchased at BuildYourCNC.com buildyourcnc.com
