Description: Natural fiber clothes, like 100% cotton, are biodegradable... right? Unfortunately most of the time this is not actually true. Unlike food or beauty products clothing only gives us a small bit of info about the "ingredients" that went into it, and many parts like the thread, elastics, dyes, and prints/treatments, are typically not biodegradable. I have found some brands whose clothing you can safely compost though!
