Description: Andrew Ucles & Laura Zerra embark on a mission to capture a bird; the introduced species in Australia known as the Indian Mynah birds. Sometimes its harder to flush your target species out, but with a bit of luck using a net and innovation including a rat (another introduced species) to help assist with the capture, we're able to figure out how to catch a bird up-close. The IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) declared the Mynah as one of the only three birds among the world’s 100 worst invasive species. This bird is particularly problematic in Australia as it evolved in the open woodlands of India and is well adopted to thrive in urban and suburban environments.
