Description: WATCH "Bushcraft Joinery - COOLEST POT HANGER EVER" - youtu.be/KOw-CT9DYP8 A quiet night working at the basecamp working on a new bushcraft joinery project, a small camp table using mortise and tenon joinery. I made this little table, to use around the campsite, near the fire pit, or under the shelter. Bushcraft basecamp is one step closer to being a practical and fun campsite. The small table would be ideal for putting items you usually keep on your person on, to clear your pockets. Knife, wallet, phone, small forest axe, saw, etc. Or a nice place to set your coffee during a meal under the lean to. I made it by splitting down an old dried black cherry log that had been curing outdoors for over a year. I split it in half with my axe, then used an old bit and brace auger to drill out 3 holes in the bottom of the 1/2 round log. Using my saw, i scored a stop cut in each leg to help it fit tight at the joint. The table turned out great. Not perfect, but very sturdy and a welcomed addition to the bushcraft camp.
