Description: Way back in 1964, in the pages of X-Men 4, a character called Scarlet Witch was introduced by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. Initially able to alter the flow of probability, Ms Maximoff would eventually become one of the key players, first among the mutants, and later in the wider comics universe, partnering up with the synth droid Vision, having kids, losing them, changing reality with her Omega-level sorceress powers, and generally causing a whole bunch of mayhem. It’s not surprising, her father being Magneto, though of course in the context of the big screen, we don’t talk about that. Decades later, in the Captain America: The Winter Soldier post-credits scene, Elizabeth Olsen appeared as the Disney MCU version of the character. And since then, she has been on a hell of a journey, through Age of Ultron, Civil War, Infinity War, Endgame, WandaVision and soon Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness. We’ve seen her fall in love, create children out of nothing, manipulate the very fabric of reality itself. And now, is she becoming a supervillain? In this behind the scenes video, we’ll be looking at how various filmmakers, as well as the actress herself, have conceived and brought the character to life. We’ll see her scenes without CGI. We’ll see wires and green screen and blue screen and red screen (because of her telekinesis, of course). And by the end, you’ll be ready for her to tear apart the forthcoming second Sorcerer Supreme movie. We’re not in Sokovia anymore, Toto.
