If you're a smaller guard though it could be one of the only ways for you to score inside the midrange so for you I can see how it would be something you would practice, improve upon, and then use to score the ball. The footwork is a little tricky and honestly up until maybe 5 years ago I didn't really know the footwork. But I studied it and now can easily explain it as you just saw.
