Hans, perplexed, ponders out loud, "Where is Barry to store these fruits? Barry didn't think ahead." He was greatly irritated that now his fruits are scattered atop the table in a chaotic arrangement, the table which he recently cleaned. Neither did Barry ask Hans if he wanted any fruits from the store, nor what kind of fruits. Banana, orange, grapes, and an apple. Only one apple, one banana is not enough for both Barry and Hans. As usual, Barry was only thinking of himself and wasn't going to share. Without a word, Barry stood on the kitchen chair, putting his dirty shoes on the newly cleaned seat. Hans broke into a sweat, "What is he doing?" he thought. Barry unscrewed the ceiling lamp and brought it down. Was he finally going to do something around here besides buy fruits for himself and create messes? Without dusting the ceiling lamp cover, Barry put all the fruits inside, then stood on the chair and reinstalled the lamp shade. 👏 What 👏 the 👏 heck, 👏 Barry? 👏 Not only were the fruits clearly only for himself, but even if Hans wanted one, he would have to go through the labour of removing the lamp cover every single time. It was like Barry was reasserting his dominance again, because it was such a power move to put the fruits in the lamp shade. "I guess I can't tell him what to do, he is only a room mate and of course pays his rent, so he has equal rights..." Hans thought begrudgingly. Days past and Hans grew increasingly frustrated. Each time he turned on the light, it started smelling like bananas. The light did not shine as brightly nor evenly. Once every so often, Barry would come around and eat some grapes, but the fruits weren't disappearing fast enough. The kitchen was really starting to smell like compost and Barry was taking his sweet time eating those fruits. The fruits were fermenting in the ceiling light.
