Description: Former Prophetess, Paulette Kozar was in a Bethel Redding influenced New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) church, where she would give people “a word from the Lord.” In this video, Paulette discusses why she is no longer a prophetess, and her biblical studies about spiritual gifts. Paulette and her husband Steven Kozar have discernment videos and blogs at The Messed Up Church at themessedupchurch.com and at youtube.com/c/StevenKozarMessedUpChurch They are also featured on watchagtv.com Steven and Paulette Kozar’s Patreon page where you can support their work is at patreon.com/themessedupchurch Paulette was born and raised in Lake Zurich, Illinois, into a Christian family that faithfully attended a small Evangelical Free Church. She married her high-school sweetheart, Steve Kozar, in 1985 and helped him make a living as a professional fine artist as they raised three children together. In the mid 1990s they got involved in Amway, which lead to attending a large Charismatic church with “Word of Faith” and “Positive Thinking” tendencies. After seeing many moral and theological discrepancies and biblical error she and Steve eventually found their way to a small Confessional Lutheran church that they drove past hundreds of times, since it is on the same street that they live on. About ten years ago, Paulette encouraged her husband to begin blogging about all of the unbiblical things he’d learned about in the various churches and groups they’d been a part of over the years. This lead to a friendship and working relationship with Chris Rosebrough and, eventually, to Steve building his own website and YouTube channel called “The Messed Up Church.” Paulette began appearing on the YouTube channel in early 2021 and her presence has been one of the things that has helped grow the channel to over 7 million video views and between 50-100 new subscribers every day. She currently works full time in sales and appears in videos on a regular basis, where her humor and insight is a great addition to her husband’s commentary. Paulette and Steve will be featured in the next American Gospel film and they are also make teaching videos for their Messed Up Church Patreon page and for AGTV. Note from Doreen: I have had comments turned off of all my videos since 2009 because I don’t have an assistant or moderator, and my schedule is super busy.
