Description: The second in a series of guided practice questions that will set you up for a 4 or a 5 on this year's AP Bio exam. Review with Mr. W live: every Tuesday and Thursday, 2pm PST, until the AP exam. Go to sciencemusicvideos.com/mr-w-live Use Mr. W's BIOMANIA AP Bio Preparation system: sciencemusicvideos.com/ap-biology/ap-bio-review-menu Use this journal and schedule of practice activities: docs.google.com/document/d/1rnBSS9ywRw5knP_n0bvamuuwrHoh7gJ5LODwmCqd8EQ/copy Use this link to learn about the BIOMANIA Phone App: sciencemusicvideos.com/app. The video is a practice FRQ that guides you through a graph showing the relationship between carbon dioxide uptake and light intensity in two plant species, only one of which is shade-adapted. The video shows Mr. W explaining a response to this four part question: PART 1: Explain what processes can be measured by measuring carbon dioxide uptake. PART 2: Using TWO pieces of information from this graph, determine which species is adapted to living in the shade. Explain your answer. PART 3: Identify the species with the lower rate of respiration. Explain how this can be determined from the graph. PART 4: Describe the significance that a low rate of respiration could have for this plant in its natural habitat.
