Description: On this week's episode of Customs with Vick, the Almighty one creates a custom for comedian Jo Koy that will be delivered to him during his show at the Footprint Center - home of the Phoenix Suns. After removing the laces and insoles from the 'Electro Orange' Air Jordan 1s, Vick prepped the white leather using acetone and cotton balls - a process that removes factory residue from the sneaker and will allow new paint to stick. Once the shoe was taped, it was time to get painting! Using an iridescent yellow, Vick laid the first coat on the toe box. Once the paint dried, he applied a custom stencil of the sun pictured on the flag of the Philippines. With the stencil perfectly placed, Vick laid down a second coat of paint, this time a different shade of yellow. For all four side panels, Mr. Almighty started with the same iridescent yellow paint he used on the toe box. Keeping the Philippine flag theme alive, he then placed three stars around the swoosh and painted over them with the second shade of yellow. In an effort to recreate the look of an Arizona sunset, Vick then applied multiple coats of red orange to create the perfect gradient. An iridescent purple pops from the back of the shoe, each side containing laser engraved Jo Koy logos! Vick used a red paint to fill in the engraving, and then finished painting the swoosh and collars using a beautiful magenta. The final touches were custom insoles from @dnicecustoms (Instagram) featuring Jo Koy and his logos, and the word "FUNNY" heat pressed on to both sides of the laces - inspired by Virgil Abloh's Off-White laces.
