It's all shaped up, and now it's ready for scales! I used to create all of the individual scales with carving tools. But it took way too long. So I decided to stamp the texture into the wood with a wood burner. It takes me about two days to get them all done. I like the pattern on this type of snake. Probably because it's the kind of rattler that lives in my area. And I've spent my whole life trying to avoid stepping on one. For this project, I'm going to try something I've never done before.
