Since then we have had quite a response to these posts and have received several requests to create a video to show how to connect and use these popular Starter Kits. Well, we heard you. We are creating a short YouTube video series on how to connect the hardware components for these Starter Kits, install the TIA Portal software and create and download a simple test program. This is the Starter Kit I will build with an S71212C CPU, TIA Portal Basic software with a perpetual license, a digital input simulator card, and a KTP400 basic HMI terminal with touchscreen and it all comes with a great case called the Systainer in order to store all these components. I will take the mystery out of connecting these items together and show you how to set up the Starter Kit easily and safely. These Starter Kits are a perfect companion to our lessons at realpars.com and feature the same hardware you will find in field installations.
