The dry black base paint is from Meeden (my favorite black base paint) and as a primer layer used wet or dry. I use my usual mixture of 1/4 GAC 800 from Golden and 3/4 Floetrol mixed together. I add paint to the mixture of 50%-50% to begin and test the strength of the color. If needed I add more paint, if too thick more pouring mixture is added. When the viscosity is satisfactory an additional 2% distilled water is added which will thin the mix and also help make cells when the paint is used as a cell activator/swipe color. I am using Prizm pour acrylic colors by Colour Arte. Recipe 1) is for general pouring. Acrylic paints are mixed with Vivid Poly Pour( both available from Colour Arte )to both extend and help them flow more easily. In a container begin by adding 25% GAC 800, fill with Vivid poly pour to just more than halfway full. Fill the remainder color. Transfer to a larger container to mix and pour into a bottle from. Add a small amount of Floetrol to thin and help level the drying paint. I recommend an estimated 10% of the total already mixed. A squirt of distilled water to thin if desired. Recently I have begun to ass a squirt of Josonja gloss varnish for shine. Recipe 2 Best for bloom colors)- for Vivid enamel use a conveniently sized container that will allow you to include all your ingredients and have room to stir without spilling. Begin by adding 20-25% GAC 800 from Golden. Fill to just past half full with Vivid enamel. Add color to fill the rest of the way to the top with color. Mix thoroughly, and add a squirt of Josonja varnish for shine and to aid cell production. Mix again. Add a squirt of distilled water to thin to your liking. Transfer to a larger mixing/pouring vessel. I suggest you use one you can easily fill a bottle that has a pour spout. Transfer to a squeeze bottle with a small single glass marble in the bottom. Remove any residual mixture using a small silicone spatula. Every day I learn new things. I will never stop experimenting, and I am happy to share what I discover with you.
