Description: Latest video: youtu.be/-EMrwRgE2vU Finishing 4x4 PTO driven timber trailer tandem axle chain housing, one side at least. Cutting out the last S355 chain housing parts on the homemade CNC plasma table. Using 6mm S355 steel for all of the housing parts. Sprockets and bearings are off-the-shelf parts I ordered from a farmer store. This 100mm chain tensioner sprocket with the chain tensioner box mount will have a stop inside where the chain tensioner push bolt is tightened against. The hatch lid I cut out is 6mm (1/4") and S355 but I guess it wouldn't hurt to add some reinforcement on the lid and maybe some additional bolts to hold it down more firmly. Excessive force on the lid will only be a problem while reversing the trailer because only then there will be any force applied on the chain tensioner. Next thing in my TO-DO list is the housing for the BMW E39 differential that will be built in between the frame rails. Then the trailer frame itself, propshaft etc. To be continued. Stay tuned!
