Description: The first half of Day 3 of the 2022 NFL Draft was the busiest part yet for ACC players turning pro. 8 players from ACC schools were taken in the 4th and 5th rounds of the draft. Pitt's Damarri Mathis and Wake Forest's Zach Tom were taken in the fourth round. UNC quarterback Sam Howell was the first of three Tar Heels taken in the fifth round, along with Ty Chandler and Marcus McKenthan. Virginia Tech's James Mitchell was the final ACC player taken before the start of the sixth round. Also notable to ACC fans, Notre Dame running back Kyren Williams was selected in the fifth round.
