Description: This video is a little sneak peek at the all-new Genesis GV70, the new SUV that slots under the plush GV80. Subcompact SUVs are the new hype and Genesis now enters this segment with its own luxury subcompact SUV in the all-new GV70. The GV70 employs the same design direction as the GV80, but in a smaller body, everything is smaller. The GV70 is available in three types of engine configurations: • 3.5 litre turbo petrol with 280 kW and 530 Nm • 2.5 litre turbo petrol with 224 kW and 422 Nm • 2.2 litre turbo diesel with 155 kW and 441 Nm The 3.5-litre engine option provides a nice level of performance as Genesis claims it can reach 100 in 5.1 seconds. The GV70 can be RWD or AWD and if latter, it gets Multi-Terrain Control to adjust the way it drives for various driving conditions. Speaking of which, all the versions can be AWD, but only the smaller petrol and the diesel can be RWD only. So, can it compete with the Audi Q5, Mercedes-Benz GLC and BMW X3? Judging by the first look and the experience with the other models that Genesis recently released to compete with the corresponding models from the big three, it should be able to.
