Helen is an experienced Olympic lifter, competitive swimmer, rock climber and even competed on the popular TV series - America Ninja Warrior. In this video, Helen breaks down the two things missing from most people's workouts: 1. Balance Training 2. Unilateral Training Balance Training: Balance training involves doing exercises that strengthen the muscles that help keep you upright, including your legs and core. These kinds of exercises can improve stability, reaction time, help prevent falls and decrease your risk of injury. Unilateral Training: Unilateral training is the performance of a movement or an exercise using a single arm or a single leg. Many of our go-to exercises, like a bench press, have both limbs doing the same movement at the same time.
