Description: Well here we are. 10 years of LifeAccordingToJimmy. Who would've thought? Before you keep reading (or don't) yes, we're going to shoot a drunk questions and you should leave all your questions in the comments. Moving on.... Technically the whole point of this video was to give a face-to-face update instead of rambling in the description like I usually do but I ended up editing out most of what I said at the beginning for the sake of getting to the highlight reel as quickly as possible, so here we are. I made a version of this video on the first day of the movie I shot in Serbia. I got to set, looked at my huge trailer (I'm aware that sounds incredibly douchey but bear with me here) and thought back to when I made that video showing you guys my little trailer on set of the first movie I did, Grown Ups 2. I got this deep feeling of gratitude and I felt the need to thank the people that helped get me to that point so I sat down and recorded a video saying thank you to the subscribers of LifeAccordingToJimmy for helping me get to where I am. But then I watched it and was like 'ew you can't put this out, it looks like you're just showing off the fact that your trailer has a bedroom' and that wasn't the point so I didn't release it. Then I noticed the 10 year anniversary was coming up and I thought 'ah, the perfect excuse to thank everyone without looking like an asshole who's just trying to flex' So yeah, the point of this video was really to just express what I felt was unexpressed gratitude and celebrate 10 years of doing this. I also never really explained my YouTube drop-off and I realize not everyone here follows me on Instagram and stays up to date with what I do off the tube (it's @jimmy by the way. no I didn't pay for it) so I thought this would be a good opportunity to do that too. Problem is, it's a thin line between explaining why you haven't been tubing and coming off like you're complaining or bragging, neither of which has a place in a 10 year celebration/thank you video. It also didn't help that I got high and watched this video when I was almost done with the edit and felt like I was saying way too much. My high self has some strong opinions about what I put on the internet. Not gonna lie, a few years ago I watched some of my old YouTube videos when I was really high and I was like 'oh my god jimmy shut the fuck up why would you post this?' That's actually one of the reasons a few videos from the last 10 years are private now. Also because it's a vulnerable feeling when all of your early work is on the internet for everyone to see. Rewatching those things years later can tend to make you feel overexposed. Moral of that story is... don't watch your own stuff when you're high? I don't know. Couple things I either didn't say or edited out; 1. We’re trying to find another home for Real Bros of Simi Valley. Facebook is no longer doing scripted content so we’re trying to finish the show on another platform. 2. The 'fuck YouTube phase' isn't necessarily over but my time away has made me appreciate this channel a lot more. I still think it's wack that I could've captioned this video "I CAN'T BELIEVE I'M SAYING THIS' with a thumbnail of my face in my palms looking sad and gotten 10x as many views but I love the community we've created from never doing that kinda clickbait bullshit. In the meantime, if you wanna get caught up on some of my recent/upcoming non YouTube stuff: -Home Economics season 1 and 2 is on Hulu. Season 2 is going to be airing Wednesday nights on abc until like March or something but everything that’s out is on Hulu -The Mighty Ones season 1 and 2 on Hulu. S3 comes out next year. It’s an animated show I did, it’s weird and funny -Rumble (animated movie) comes out on Paramount + December 15 -I got another series coming out December 18 on Roku but I don’t think I can say what it is yet -I’ll keep you posted on Serbia movie (which is The Machine based on Bert Kreischer’s true story) and California King (the indie movie I did in Utah) Well that about sums it up. And yes, if really dig into it you may notice that the 10 year anniversary was technically last week on November 23rd but guess what? The guys that you can hear painting my house above us stole my camera and hard drives. That's right, the hard drives containing all of my videos from the last 8 years. So getting those back obviously became the priority and fucked my whole week. I got back the camera and ONE of the hard drives but they won't give back the others (I don't fully understand either) but if you see some 2-4tb G-Drives for sale in LA with a sharpied LATJ that was rubbed off, let your boy know. And don't work with Ramon at R & M Paint and Finishing. ANYWAY wow I’ve almost hit the 5k word limit. If you made it this far, thank you, I love you and you’re the person I made this video for.
