Description: Legendary hip-hop DJ Kay Slay has died four months after being hospitalised at the age of 55 years. DJ Kay Slay has been in hospital since December 27. Just one week ago, Wack 100 claimed that DJ Slay was 'still fighting' months after his Covid battle last year. His brother Kwame Grayson admitted that the record executive was unwell but was on the mend. 'He was slowly fading away, but God didn't let that happen, he told DX at the time. 'So he's up and going. He's like in a recovery state, but he's definitely not going to die.' DJ Kay Slay was born Keith Grayson on August 14, 1966 in New York City. DJ Slay was a graffiti artist before he pursued a career in music and featured in the 1983 hip-hop documentary Style Wars. During his successful music career, he worked with artists including Busta Rhymes, T-Pain, French Montana and Ray J. DJ Kay Slay released his debut album, The Street sweeper, Volume. 1, on 20 May 2003. His second album The Street sweeper, Vol. 2 was released in 2004. Other albums he released include More Than Just a DJ, The Big Brother, Hip Hop Frontline, The Soul Controller among others. DJ KAY SLY WILL BE REMEMBERED FOR HIS CONTRIBUTION IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY.
