Description: PLEASE JOIN ME ON PATREON: patreon.com/TheMobReporter The Kinahan cartel’s top men in Britain have fallen; significant players in the Irish crime group that is named a top global threat were convicted and sentenced to long prison terms. But the alleged boss doesn’t flinch. Let me tell you about it. The Mob Reporter here with news of the sentencing in England of Thomas Kavanagh, originally from Dublin, Ireland. UK’s National Crime Agency declared him the main man in the country for “the Kinahan organized crime group.” On March 28, 2022, the 54-year-old Kavanagh was sentenced to 21 years in prison for drug importing conspiracy and money laundering. Sentenced alongside him were two underlings: Gary Vickery, 39, and Daniel Canning, 43. Vickery was Kavanagh’s number two, known as “Jelly.” He was sentenced to 20 years in prison. Canning, Vickery’s son-in-law, was nicknamed “Smiley.” He traveled across Europe keeping an eye on the firm’s activities. He was given 19-½ years. Together, it is a significant catch for the cops. Meanwhile, the alleged — but unproven and unconvicted — boss of the Kinahan group, Daniel Kinahan, remains free in Dubai. Far from hiding, he remains a public figure, even recently meeting with a provincial Minister for Sports from Pakistan. Kinahan has long been involved in boxing. He’s been a major figure behind fighters and as a promoter. The President of the World Boxing Council also recently met with Kinahan in Dubai.
