Description: Beigang River has millions of little pieces of metal it in that were washed down into the riverbed after the 921 Big Earthquake. I think it came from telephone poles and road barriers. About 37km of road washed into the river. The concrete from the poles is all gone, but the metal remains. And it punctured one of our packrafts. We had to repair it in the field and row another 18km out of the canyon.
