Description: People keep asking me what I think about YouTube restricting LGBT videos. For those of you who aren't aware, YouTube has a "restricted mode" that filters out content that may be seen as "sensitive" or "inappropriate". That filter has been targeting LGBT videos especially and filtering out videos of LGBT creators that aren't exactly "adult content". Needless to say, the LGBT+ community, both on YouTube and at large, was not very happy about that. YouTube has since issued a couple of apologies, but I unfortunately am not satisfied, and I'll tell you why. For one thing, they're trying to play it off as a software glitch when there are most certainly people to blame. Also, this newest issue is just the latest in what I would argue is a reoccurring pattern of issues that all stem from the same source. #ProudToBeRestricted What do you think about Restricted Mode? Were you satisfied with their explanation? What do you think is the best way to move forward? Let me know down below!
