Description: As I grew older I started dreaming of the day that I lived in a house that my family owned. My dad is a pastor, so for the majority of my years growing up, my family lived in houses that were owned by the church. My mom, and some of the churches went to great lengths to make the houses our own. As an adult I struggled with putting in the effort to make a rental house feel like ours. I didn't see the value of spending time and money on a house we wouldn't keep. But, one year, the Lord laid it on my heart to make our rental feel like ours. I finally put family pictures up, and we invited people into our space. Our house was small for 8 people living in it, let alone inviting other families in as well. But, that small house is where my heart shifted, and hospitality became a passion.
