Anuj Mandal, 65, known as Chhote Baba, is a respected holy man in south Delhi, northern Indian, where followers queue up daily outside a temple to be blessed by him. But at home he’s been living with his carer and unofficial wife, Baby, 45, for 18 years. Saddened to see Chhote Baba alone; one of his followers donated their daughter - Baby - to him so that he had a carer for life. But he insists even though he loves her they do not have a man and wife relationship. He said: ‘I’m not married to Baby, she’s my disciple, she’s my follower. But no one is more important to me than her. She’s my family, mother, friend and wife. She’s my everything. I can’t live without her.’ Chhote Baba, youngest of eight siblings, was born small and has never been able to walk or use his legs. His parents took him to doctors as a child but there was no help. He claims that from the age of seven he’s been able to predict the future and has fulfilled many people’s wishes. When his parents died when he was 25-years-old he decided to leave his home in Bhagalpur, Bihar, eastern India, and travel across India using his gifts to help others.After spending ten years in a temple in Agra, in Uttar Pradesh, he moved to to a temple in Delhi, in 1987.
