The Queen Mary You can’t find this next one on land. Instead, it’s floating on the sea. The Queen Mary is a retired British ocean liner that set sail in 1936 and finished its duties in 1967. During its time, the RMS Queen Mary was popular and remained so even after 3 decades. Within her time in operation, many people passed on the ship, which led to Queen Mary being hailed as a haunted boat. It seemed to work out in the boat’s favor, though, because today, tourists board the ship to experience its “Haunted Encounters Tour” during the Halloween season! 3. Chateau de Brissac This French manor was built in the Loire Valley of west-central France. Chateau de Brissac is owned by the Cosse-Brissac (cossay) family but was originally built as a castle for the Counts of Anjou in the 1200s. It looks exquisite on the outside, but the chateau holds dark secrets. Many know it as the location where Charlotte of France was slain by her husband’s hand. Back then, the public knew her as the illegitimate daughter of King Charles VI. Today, people refer to her as the “Green Lady,” referring to the color of her gown that she wears when she haunts the castle. 2. Lizzie Borden House Lizzie Borden became a figure in popular culture after being suspected in the deaths of her father and stepmother. Her case made headlines back in the day and even know, she lives on in infamy, with movies, books, and nursery rhymes alluding to her.
