Description: In this video I am chasing the moods on assignment for the regions of Denmark. Behind the scenes about how I'm planning my trips and how I deal with wet and cold equipment. Therefore I was happy to see how the temperatures in Denmark suddenly dropped and snow was moving closer. I decided to go to a location in the Northern part of Denmark together with Simon who is also working with me on this project. Being two photographers helped with covering more angles. Deadline for this job is August 2021 and I am looking forward to share the final result. Simon on Instagram: instagram.com/simonvammen YR weather forecast: yr.no Windy: windy.com A few questions: 1. Does the snow damage the equipment? Most of my equipment is weather sealed which is not the same as waterproof. That means the snow itself is not going to harm the equipment as long as it stays frozen. The problem occurs when it thaws. Then i have to dry it all so that it will not damage the equipment when it once again freezes the day after. I am not afraid to get wet equipment in general, but water in combination with frost is a bad combination. The microphones are not very tolerant to water, so they really need to be kept dry. That is also why I carefully brushes the snow off before putting them back into the photo backpack. 2. Are you switching to Canon? Because of some future assignments and an Arctic expedition I am looking for alternatives to my Z cameras which did not perform very well on my 2 months expedition to Ellesmere Island when it comes to the autofocus. I find the autofocus system in the Canon R5 and R6 more capable and faster to use and for the assignment i am currently working on, the video features are needed. I do not know what the future will bring. For now I am just enjoying working with the system. ------------------------------------ Camera gear: Camera: Canon EOS R5 Canon EOS R6 Canon 200-400mm f/4 with build in 1,4x converter Canon RF 24-105mm Nikon Z6 Nikon Z 24-70mm f/4 Rode Videomic pro+ Rode Videomic NTG Rode Stereomic X Gear list on my website.
