Upon “Talking To Myself”, I learned that I care too much about how I look (Run), to the point of lying (Lies). I try to control everything (I Need Control) and am terrified of the one thing I can’t (I Don’t Want to Die). I overwork myself (Burned Out) to the point where music isn’t even fun anymore (Married To The Music, Writing A Song). I get extremely jealous of my peers (Must Be Nice) and fell into a deep depression as a result (By Now). I’m realizing in hindsight how cathartic this was because these songs all came from a heaviness in my heart that I just don’t have anymore. I still have a long way to go but a lot of the perfectionist in me left with this album. I hope these songs help you address those thoughts within yourself and maybe loosen up a little bit.
