Description: Sonic Colors (or Sonic Colours if you live in a part of the world that can spell correctly) is coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC! The promised Sonic Colors Ultimate will give players the opportunity to explore this Modern Sonic title in glorious HD, exploring Planet Wisp and saving tiny aliens from the mustachioed Dr Eggman Robotnik. But...why? Well, apart from, because the fans really want it. And because Sega really wants money. The reality is, this Sonic Colours port is likely being released in large part thanks to the success of Persona 4 on Steam. While Sega had been pushing to explore PC ports for a while, the phenomenal success of Persona 4 has encouraged the company to "aggressively" pursue ports and remasters for some of their other iconic games. And what Sega franchise is more iconic than Sonic the Hedgehog? Last year, Sega sold more Sonic games than any other types of games, despite the fact that the company didn't actually release any new Sonic titles. So, because we're apparently not getting a Sonic Mania 2, and because Sonic Rangers is still a long way from completion, the big 30th anniversary Sonic release is Sonic Colors Ultimate, conveniently mirroring the big Zelda anniversary re-release of Skyward Sword.... Could be worse. Samus Aran is probably weeping into her visor right about now. It's her anniversary too.
