Description: The time has finally come. I had to say goodbye to my Camaro SS. For months now, I had this intense internal conflict on whether or not I should keep the Camaro. I feared being judged, I feared losing credibility, but most importantly I feared having to relearn everything about cars again. Especially since I knew little to nothing about hot hatches. I've only ever known big displacement engines paired with a RWD drive train bundled up and packaged in a sexy coupe body style. Despite loving the coupe life, my wallet certainly didn't enjoy it and I'm starting to realize that some material possessions, aren't worth setting your financial future back. Over the next few years I will be spending far more money than I ever had; I need to save for an engagement ring, a wedding, a home, and seriously consider the possibility of having kids in my late 20s. Awhile still wanting to love cars and be involved with car culture. So that's kind of how I came around to choosing a hatchback -- in this case, it was the Golf GTI. So far, the GTI has FAR exceeded my expectations and the aftermarket potential is amazing. In a way, this purchase has reinvigorated my love and passion for cars as I have so much to learn in this growing segment. The fear is subsiding and I look forward towards the future.
